Bare Necessities Haul (Zero Waste Store India)

Oct 3, 2019

I got to know about Bare Necessities when exploring products. I did not have any defined need in my mind but I wanted to explore their products. They have a limited range but all good products packed in glass or cloth packaging. The price point is not too high. Then I stumbled upon something that made me make my first purchase - straws made from fallen palm leaves - Leafy Straws which retails for Rs 200 for 50 pieces. This seems great for get-togethers at home coz how many steel straws can a girl own? :D

Anyways, I got two more steel straws as well - straight ones - one thick and one slim. The width of the slim one is the same as the bend one from WWF that I got last year.

Here are the other things I got from them:

1. Pack of 50 straws. Made from falled palm leaves.

2. Assorted set of soaps The set of four soaps in different variants comes for Rs 199. I have used the Sandalwood so far and the quality is good. The soap are well cured and does not have an intense smell.

3. Two more steel straws added to my collection. I thought the thin one will be 'thin' but it isn't.

4. A book 'Let's Talk Trash' (Rs 150). It is good and can be a great gift. It tells you simple ways to implement Zero Waste lifestyle. There are simple things that people might now realize. I showed it to friends and people liked it.

5. A set of four zero waste postcards. (Rs 150)

Everything came inside a cardboard box strong enough to be reused. The products were wrapped in paper or string (as you can see in for the soaps). I ordered two straws but they send me just one bag. So, could not regift the other slim one to anyone (Always keep your straws inside a bag. You never know what can get in and choke the straw!) They also send an additional postcard.

Have you heard about them before? Anything that you liked here or find interesting?
