Cult Beauty Haul 2019

Jul 19, 2019

It is interesting how shopping for me has evolved. I say no to a lot of things. I never compromise on the quality of ingredients. That does not mean that I won't try new things. But, spending more on them makes no sense. Hence, my favorite choice - The Ordinary.

They helped me understand what an excellent ingredient Vitamin C is for my skin. At the same time, taught me that maybe Niacinamide is not for me.

When I decided to update from 23% Vitamin C serum to 100% L-Ascorbic Acid powder, I decided to buy few more things from The Ordinary. Buying just one item while shopping from International website does not sound logical.

My Pixi Glow bottle was about to get over, and the Indian version - Dr. Sheth's Gulab Glycol did nothing remarkable. Therefore, pick a bottle of Pixi Glow Tonic (£15.00 || Rs 1300).

Other are all The Ordinary Products.

My favorite face oil - Rosehip seed oil. You know I am hooked on the LifeFlo, and I need to try more brands. Decided to give The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil (£7.50 || Rs 650) a try. (Review coming up)

Other things that I am going to try

  • The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution (£5.25 || Rs 450) Tried it 3-4 times, and I love this.
  • The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (£6.67 || Rs 575)  Started it yesterday
  • The Ordinary "Buffet" (£10.83 || Rs 935) Yet to figure out how to work this one in my skincare. I have already removed Rosehip seed from PM routine. Will probably have to remove it from the day as well to use this.

Total £49.38 (Around Rs 4300)
Shipping & Handling £0.00
(FREE SHIPPING on all orders over £40)

Shipped to Noida.

The shipping was done from the Netherlands, and it arrived in Delhi within a week. Then, the dearest custom people found the package. They tore it open and repacked it.

And...I had to pay customs charges 😕😭 (Rs 1515)

But, I will still order from Cult Beauty and suggest you do the same because the price in Cult Beauty is less when you convert to Indian rupees vs. the price at TheOriginal website! I know it sounds funny, but this is the case. Also, the rate at Cult Beauty is shown along with UK ground taxes. When you choose your shipping country, the prices are further reduced.

Customs is like Russian roulette. You may have to pay or may not. But, at least the price is less!

Cult Beauty also has Aesop, and I am eyeing those beauties.

Love,
Shayoni
