The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review India
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Review India

Big Name.

Fret not, it is just Vitamin B3.

It comes with 1% zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid.

The Ordinary claims that it reduces the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion which keeping sebum activity in balance.

In simpler terms, prevents oil overproduction and reduce blemishes.

Price: 5.90 USD (around Rs 410)

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Zinc PCA, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Tamarindus Indica Seed Gum, Xanthan gum, Isoceteth-20, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

Texture: It is water based. It is a thin runny liquid almost like water. On skin, it does not feel like anything.

Do I have over oily skin? Thanks to the use of face oils, no. Do I have blemishes? Yes at times, when I get acne around those time of the month. I had a positive feeling that this will help in making them disappear quicker than rosehip seed oil since they have the directed ingredients for the same.

I used it multiple times but failed to see any good effect. It might help someone with scars who wish to use it for long. Usually skincare takes a month to show effect. In my case, it was not deep scars but light marks that shows when the acne is coming down.

Overall: The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% did nothing for me. I wanted it to work for me. I tried it a number of times, in a number of ways, but failed to see any effect. Nothing positive to say. Nothing negative to say.

I thought I will use for more to check if it works in any other way. But, this cannot be used with Vitamin C. And Vitamin C is my new found love and I am sliding deep into its love.

This bottle of The Ordinary Niacinaminde will unfortunately live the rest of its life in the dark corners of my skincare drawer. (Unless I find the right person to donate this.)

Speaking of donation. When I was in Kolkata, it was easy to pass around things that I could not use any longer. When I moved to Noida, it was no longer the case. I am trying to clear up my drawers and the amount of makeup and skincare that I had to throw away is insane. Do you wish to see it?

  1. This product works AMAZINGLY on my oily, acne-prone skin. Within just a couple of uses my pores appeared smaller, bumps reduced and skintone looked even. But when my sis (who has combination skin) used this, it made her breakout. So yeah, the effects vary from person to person.

  2. Hey but where did you purchase this product,.. sorry, I dont remember reading about your haul,.. After my pregnancy due to hormonal issues, I have acne scars all over my face :( I'm in search of good natural/organic/less of chemicals products to atleast fade away few scars :(

  3. I wish I lived near you. I would have taken this one atleast. I have uneven skintone. I tried kumkumadi, rosehip. But it stays like that. Skin on my forehead almost looks burnt. Any magic potion
