The Body Shop Mediterranean Almond Milk with Oats Instant Soothing Mask Review, Price, Texture

This winter I converted to an almond fan and preferred it to other ingredients in my skincare. Therefore, when facemask with almond milk launched just around wintertime, it seemed like the perfect thing. However, The Body Shop marketed it as a gentle exfoliator. Unfortunately, it is not the case for me. I also do not have extra dry skin.

However, I do have a skin concern that only product so far was able to tackle. In summers, my skin feels too hot especially after being exposed to the sun. Aloe gives me relief but does not add the needed moisture. Moisturizers just add stickiness. Face oils do not penetrate deep or give any instant relief. I need something that is soothing and moisturizing. Curd helps.

(The only product that has helped so far is the Simple Deep Cleaning Face Mask. Simple is here in India but they decided not to launch this mask.)

Therefore, I waited for the summers to try this almond milk face pack. I am glad that I did because I love every bit about it.

Price: Rs 1895 for 75ml. Yup, it is high.

Texture: Like face cream with mild exfoliating particles. The mask is easy to wash off and does not feel heavy or sticky.

Efficacy: The Oats soothes my skin from sunburn and almond milk adds the lost moisture. It also has shea butter - my favorite. Does not dries completely so, great for heat-tormented skin as you do not need to chisel off the face pack. I am going to let go of the claim of a gentle exfoliator. Maybe it will work for very dry skin. My skin does feel supple. In addition, I pop it into my freezer for a couple of minutes before use. The soothing feel increases many folds.

Overall: I am enjoying every drop of almond and oat face mask.

However, we cannot ignore the fact that the price point is insane. Therefore, if you wish to splurge then please go ahead.

If you wish to do a DIY with similar effects then add curd, almond powder, oats powder with Aloe Vera juice.

  1. Whenever I feel like picking The Body Shop masks, their price tag stops me thinking I can do DIY rather than spending that much :)
