Limited Edition The Body Shop Cactus Blossom Hand Wash

Jun 11, 2019

Today, I am excited to share this with you - Limited Edition The Body Shop Cactus Blossom Hand Wash.

Because:

1. I have been following The Body Shop for almost 10 years. In all these years, I have never seen a hand wash from TBS. In fact, this is the first time, I am reviewing any hand wash on Sweet And Bitter Blog.

2. Cactus Blossom! How interesting does it sound? I have never tried anything with Cactus Blossom. I do not even know what Cactus Blossom smells like in real! (But I am eyeing the Bath and Body Works Cactus Blossom candle.)

3. Limited edition. Will go away from the market soon.

Price: Rs 595 for 250ml

Packaging: Plastic bottle with lockable pump. I am repeating it here but things that comes with pump automatically gets more usage because it becomes easier to use and I do not have to worry about water getting it and damaging product aka they live in my bathroom! So, yes, pumps are always a big YES for me.

Fragrance: It is fruity and floral. It is definitely unique without a doubt. It is something that you make you sniff your fingers later. Nothing so overpowering that you cannot even eat or do something with your hands.

Texture: Medium viscous. Washes off easily without leaving behind any residues and does not dries hand. This weekend I did lot of dusting, laundry, and food prep. As I was switching between, I used this. A lot of times in fact but I faced no dryness even in this dry weather. Big plus. (I was not handling food directly all the time. Else, I would have used something with stronger anti-bacterial property).

Ingredients: The hand wash has cactus flower extract from Morocco and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia. The ingredient list is same as the shower gel.

Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum/Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Polysorbate 20, Mel/Honey/Miel, PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate, Benzyl Benzoate, Disodium EDTA, Benzophenone-3, Hydroxycitronellal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Limonene, Benzyl Alcohol, Citronellol, Cereus Grandiflorus Flower Extract/Cactus Flower Extract, Glucose, Lactic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, CI 19140/Yellow 5, CI 42090/Blue 1.

Overall: It is not tough to impress me when it comes to hand wash. Should have nice smell but not overpowering. Check. Pump bottle. Check. Non-drying and effective in cleaning. Check.

Is this a must buy? It just boils down to - are you willing to pay. The shower gel with the same ingredients and flip top bottle costs Rs 200 less than the hand wash. If you are willing to enjoy the fragrance and formula, you can very well go ahead with the shower gel. If you need to have the pump then this is the one. If you do not want to miss the first time, TBS got us hand wash in India in a pleasant limited scent then go ahead. The last reasoning is my reasoning.

Love,

Shayoni
