Ques: Guess how old this bottle of Kiehl's lotion is.
Ans: It came into my life in February 2014.
Ques: Guess when I took the pictures.
Ans: April 2016. I borrowed a camera from someone because I loved these flowers and it was almost dark. I went back at this exact spot last week. These wild flowers no longer grow there. At least I have pictures of them to look at.
Ques: Guess where is the bottle now.
Ans: On my lap as I write this.
Ques: Why have I not thrown it away?
Yes, that is a big statement to say that nothing smells like this. But, think. It has been with me for three years now. I still adore it the way I did when I first used it. I can count on my fingers the number of things that I have kept way past expiration dates not to use but to sniff, and this one is one of them.
I don't want to miss it as I miss those wild violet flowers.
Texture: Thick lotion that quickly seeps into skin. Feels bit greasy in the beginning but then the skin feels moisturized.
Fragrance: I love it. It has a green calming smell. It is something that makes me wish that I get lost in a forest. Even after 3 years, it feels great. Obviously, it was fresher and stronger when it was new. The fragrance stays on for quite long. You get a whiff of it from time to time - all day long.
Price: Rs 2100 for 250ml. Super expensive.
Overall: God bless Kiehl's for such might samples. 65ml is not a joke. I cannot say that it is the best lotion on the planet, but I can say that even after three years, I haven't found anything that even smells anything close to it. The texture takes some getting used it as it is silicone free.
I wanted to purchase the perfume but couldn't get it. Finally, I picked another variant from KLIA.
Love,
Shayoni
