Himalaya Herbals Tan Removal Orange Peel Off Mask |
During my teens, I first saw the ad of a peel-off mask on TV. It was a revolutionary thought for me. The fact that one can pull off all the impurities from the skin and have a mask with contours of your face was mind boggling for me. Even now in my late 20s, I am equally intrigued to try new peel off masks. Unfortunately, there is just a handful of them in India. Bored of the available choices, once I tried to make a peel-off mask at home using gelatin - not one of the proud moments of my life. So, I was had to try the Himalaya Orange Peel Off Mask. A peel-off mask with orange and honey? I will be a fool to skip it.

Packaging: Generic Himalaya teal and white squueze tube with flip top which is hygienic.
Ingredients: It contains honey and orange. The presence of both not only makes it ideal for oily combination skin but also effective in cleansing and adding radiance to the skin.
Efficacy: Let's cut to the case - does it removes tan? I do not have any tanning on my face to answer this question. But, I can tell you what I observed when I used it. When I was in Kolkata during Durga Puja, I used to be awake all night, hop around, and eat like the lunatic who is never going to see food again. My skin apparently took the toll for all that. So, on the last day, I tried this, and I could instantly see the effects from the very first use. The peel-off mask absorbed all the oil and added freshness to the skin. It also left my skin moisturized. This is not to take oil off extra oily skin, but you can try using it after cleansing your face. But, I also observed something different. I am back in Gujrat, and the air in my place is dry. Plus, I live my whole day inside the merciless dryness of air conditioners. So, I saw found dry flakes around my chin and cheeks. Guess what? This mask also removed the dry, flaky skin from the top. A little bit flakiness did return around my chin, but it can be handled with moisturizers. What I love most about the mask is that it does not cause irritation even when applied on dry, flaky skin or acne. (I faced the issue with some Himalaya Herbal masks)
Overall: I love the me-time I get from the Himalaya Herbals Orange Peel-off Mask. It is easy to apply and does not irritate skin so; it gets extra brownie points. With the festivals around the corner and the food habits going haywire, I do suggest trying this peel off mask which is gentle yet effective. The mask is best suitable for oily-combination skin. For normal-dry skin, I will recommend restricting the use to once a week or 10 days.
Do let me know if you have used it and how you felt about it. Got any favorite peel-off mask? Share in the comments.
