Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm Review
Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm Review
Recently, I got the chance to use some wonderful rose beauty products. So, I was happy to try Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm. Actually, I had it since FE opened its store in Kolkata but I never got the chance to use it until last month.

Price - Rs 595 for 5g

Packaging - As usual, FE makes sure to go a step beyond the others in market when it comes to packaging. It comes in a plastic flip top tub that has a mirror inside it. It looks good to carry around. Also, the mirror is good to help to do the makeup touchups if needed.

Formula - Forest Essentials Sugared Rose Petal Lip Balm contains natural bees wax along with kokum butter, cocoa butter, almond oil, rose and vitamin E. But, the ingredients list is not complete. The previous packaging mentioned Base QS but now they have removed it and mentioned ‘key ingredients’ instead of the complete list.

Texture – Very light and almost like petroleum jelly lip balms. (This is what makes me wonder about the rest of the ingredients in the lip balm that FE has opted not to mention)

Fragrance – It contains rose extract and rose powder. It has a a strong rose smell that is seems completely artificial. I have use rose products from Forest Essentials and none of them smell anything like this one. It is too strong for a lip balm and makes it almost impossible for me to keep it on. I have asked many other people to give their feedback on the smell and everyone felt it was too strong and artificial. Never expected this.

Efficacy – As it is very list, it does nothing much for dryness. So, does not help for chapped lips at all. Also, because of its smell it was tough to try as well.

Overall – Forest Essentials sugared rose petal lip balm does not float my boat. The strong artificial rose fragrance almost makes it impossible to use. Also, the texture is too light and does not nothing for the dry lips. Other than the packaging, the lip balm has nothing to discuss about. For this price range, I will recommend everyone to try either Burt’s Bees or Kama Ayurveda
