Be Classy, Casual and Festive - 3 Looks for Today's Women from ShoppersStop.Com

Nov 14, 2012

All of them are the tried and tested looks by the Indian women of today. A salute to all the roles we play, the part we excel every day. These are all the outfits that I have personally liked and worn (similar) in situations as mentioned.

Flirty Butterfly – The Casual Chic

Its winter morning and you have to leave for your college class or have to go to shop for a basic few things. The piece almost all of use is slim fitted solid colored jeans which makes your legs looks slimmer. Its winter so, you wrap yourself in your favorite brown leather jacket which is comfy inside with fur body and tough outside to save you from the chilly winds. As you are left with not much time, just a sweep of your mascara to turn those lazy lashes in flirty butterfly. A sniff of that sexy perfume to perk you up and a satchel to pile in things that will help you survive the day. A sunscreen and Rayban sunglass with polarized glass lens is a must to protect you. In case you are still left with time then how about getting a bit crazy and trying oxblood nail paint? Try the fast drying Maybelline Colorama Vinho Reserva.

Bling Diva – The Classy Babe

Whenever I say classy, Aundrey Hempbrun come to me and say “Hello”. I could not keep her out of it. A lunch with lady friends and movie afterwards? A date? An evening out with some special people? Being classy is the answer. A black dress is a must have and the most versatile of all (Thanks Coco Chanel). Pair it with a belt to accentuate your waist and highlight your best body features. Get a classy and simple bag with smooth texture which is versatile for you. Keep up with the lady quotient with bling earring and rise up to be the bling diva with the DKNY watch. Keep your Sunglasses to be prepared for the paparazzi!

Diwali Patakha – The Festive Queen

On this festive season, how could I have missed a festive look? You cannot do away with jeans or a dress this time. Try a saree or salwar suit or lehenga. I personally do not like too much embroidery or work as it makes the piece heavy and hinder my running around during the festival. So, no saree or lehenga for me but surely a salwar suit. I choose this black and mustard one because of the thick border on the end and the tattooed sleeves are very much in this season. I also picked up this mehendi green and black one for the color and texture of the dupatta. As the whole work in this is not blocked, it will make you look a bit taller for sure. Pair it up with gold and diamond jewelry - light and simple nakshatra designs. A clutch for the money you need for those chats and pani puris from pop up stores. A n*de lipstick to complement your Indian skin tone and a whiff of CK Beautiful. Slip into a pair of versatile dull gold sandals which will complement most of the Indian attires and into on the Diwali Patakha mode.
