Stick It Up for NYX Stick Blushes in the famous Tea Rose and Sweet Hibiscus

Jul 2, 2012

I really liked the idea of swirl stick blushes when Lakme came up with 2 colors in Fantasy collection. But the price and colors never tempted me much to go and get them. But when I saw these, I simply could not resist myself.

What colors you got? I always wanted NYX Tea rose lipstick but after knowing how their lipstick melt, I did not had the guts to own them so when these stick blushes also had Tea Rose…you know what happened. Another choice I made was Hibiscus which is soft rose pink. Love this lot.

Do they melt like their lipstick? I tied taking pics under sunlight but then they got really really soft and I end up breaking corner of the stick. I could not risk anymore so the pics where finally taken under shade. So, yes, they melt but only under direct sunlight (mind it that I am in Kolkata and it was above 40 C that day!)

What NYX says about them? Add a touch of color with our creamy and extremely pigmented StickBlush! Available in eight rich shades! Apply and receive the perfect glow every day!

What are they made of (Ingredients List)?

White Mineral Oil, 2-Ethylhexyl Palmitate,Polybutene, Squalane, Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Vitamin E,Beeswax, Ozokerite, Candelilla Wax, Carnauba Wax, Paraffin Wax/Microcrystalline Wax, Phenoxyethanol/ Methylparaben/ N-Butylparaben/Ethylparaben/ Propylparaben/ Isobutylparaben, EthylhexylMethoxycinnamate. MAY CONTAIN: D&C Red No.6 Sodium Salt (CI 15850),D&C Red No.28 Al. Lake (CI 45410), FD&C Yellow No.5 AluminumLake (CI 19140:1), D&C Red No.7 Calcium Lake (CI 15850:1), TitaniumDioxide (CI 77891), Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499), Red Iron Oxide (CI77491), Yellow Iron Oxide (CI 77492), Mica (CI 77019)

Packaging? Love love love. Each stick is colored as per the blush (something like the Bourjois Blushes). Easy to find if you are not those organized types. The cap does not open on its own so yes, very very travel friendly.

And those cute hearts on top...ahhhhh adorable is the word!

Hibiscus - Soft rose pink with slight hints of orange.
Tea Rose - Radiant peachy pink

(Pics were not taken directly under sunlight)

Are they easy to use? Yes, they are! Just a dap is on each cheek, a little blending with finger tips and Ta-Da! Glowy radiant skin! On top of it that they are easy to travel with. Throw them in your makeup pouch and they squeeze themselves into it to survive in it. If you need to reapply then no issues at all!

Re-apply? How long do they last? See girl I have not tried them over foundations but directly on my skin. They seem to last around 3 hours only on bare skin. Also, I apply very very little on daytime as I have no intentions of looking like a clown. Luckily them do not have a drop of shimmer so it does not matter if you apply a lee-tul bit more. *wink*

So, what do you think? I love them! For the price they are gems in disguise. Only thing is they are not available in India – not even in any online website. You have to buy them from international website and with shipping the price become high.

High price? How much did you paid? They are for 6$ each but you can get them from 4$ to 5$ online. With shipping it becomes more.

What do you suggest your readers? Get them the moment any Indian website get hold of them. If you belong to the insane compulsive catergory of people then you can get them from international websites.   Just found (Thanks to Manya) that these are available in India online but price is so damn insane that I suggest that please get them online. You can try Joy's Cosmetics in ebay as well for NYX stuffs.
