Juicy Chemistry Rice Flour, Camellia, Orange Face Scrub Review

Apr 5, 2019

Most of us have moved to chemical peels and micro-exfoliation but you do need physical exfoliation at times. I went for the Rice Flour, Camellia, Orange Peel face scrub because the ingredients felt nice.

Price: Rs 650. This is on the expensive side so, my expectations were very high.

Ingredients: 100% natural origin of the total. 76.54 % of the total ingredients are from organic farming.

Oryza sativa (rice) powder*, Sucrose*, Sodium chloride, Camellia sinensis leaf extract*, Citrus sinensis (sweet orange) oil*, Olea europaea (olive) oil*, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba oil)*, Tocopherol, Camelina sativa (camellia) seed oil*, Melaleuca alterniflora (tea tree) oil*.

Going by the price tag, I was expecting sheer luxury. Nevertheless, it is rice powder, sugar, and salt with some extracts. The scrub works well. Nothing out of the world here. For some, it might feel too abrasive. I soak it up a bit to ensure that the rice has softened. It does remind me of The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion (maybe because of the orange smell and tiny exfoliate.) I could not use it near eyes/eyebrows (was scared because of the salt in this).

I like it but do not highly recommend this. It does the job of exfoliation but nothing to write a song about. Neither does my skin feel super clean or full of glow the next day (I expected this because of the orange peel).

This ends the review of all the Juicy Chemistry products that I recently purchased. It was a bittersweet experience with some products worth the weight in gold and some weren't worth at all. Here is the haul post where I have linked all the reviews.

Let me know if I should try some other products. :)

Love,
