Skincare and Beauty Product Empties and Repurchases
Skincare and Beauty Product Empties and Repurchases

2017 wasn't a great year for my skin. (Read: Forehead acne). Majorly because I was hardly taking care of my skin during summer. But, in the last couple of months, I was trying to be more regular. As a result, I was reaching out to my favorites, and hence, this post majorly has products that get over are and were instantly repurchased :D

So, read more to see my favorites and products which didn't make the cut.

Let's start with what got repurchased. The following products are my favorite. Add The Body Shop Rainforest Shampoo in the following list, and you have my 'Favorites That I Always Repurchase List'

Favorite Skincare That I Repurchase
Favorite Skincare That I Repurchase

The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Butter: The best cleanser. Period. The last one isn't over, but it has been with me for long so, throwing it away. The new one was purchased during The Body Shop Sale. Sisterly advice: never buy The Body Shop unless they are on offer. You will repent later.

Kama Ayurveda Kumkumadi Thailam: One of the best face oil. But, the price can burn a hole in the Emperor's pockets. The price has been hicked several times and now stands at Rs 2295 for 12ml. But, guess what? It actually works. I got it during the Diwali offer when I got a free gift box with this. It hurts less to spend when you buy something that offers a gift with purchase.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Astringent Micro-Exfoliant Toner: My favorite toner but it is tough to get. Luckily, Nykaa now stores it now.

Cetaphil Cleansing Lotion: Best non-foaming cleanser for sensitive skin. I cannot even recall how many times I have repurchased it.

Apple Cider Vinegar: I used it as a hair rinse - soothes the scalp (no itchiness or dryness!), increases hair volume, does not weight down hair like conditioner, completely natural, and cheaper than conditioner. I got it from Amazon as they offer the highest discount on this.

The Body Shop Tea Tree 3 in 1 Scrub, Mask, and Cleanser: I had a feeling that I would love it when I used it for the first time. I liked it the very last drop. I got it a month before the tube was over. Highly recommend this if you have acne prone skin. The tube will easily last you almost a year with moderate use.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo: Another product that one must have if you have acne prone skin. I won't recommend daily use because somehow it stops being useful if used daily. I don't know why. I am on my 3rd or 4th tube now.

The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal: I got the tub when the satchets got over. The sale at the TBS online store surely motivated this decision.

Now, the list of products that didn't make the cut:

Greenberry Organics Juniper Berry Orange and Peppermint Oil Body Wash Gel: The formula of the shower gel is good, but I would have enjoyed it more if it was more 'orange' in fragrance. Also, I have found that they change their formula frequently so, will buy some other variant later.

Just Herbs Rose Water: There is nothing wrong with this but I like the Kama Ayurveda one more than this. I also have a couple of travel size one from my last travel.

Maybelline Colossal Mascara: One of the best budget mascara but I have many other mascaras now. So, not repurchasing it right now.

The Body Shop Skin Defense: Hands down the best sunscreen. But, the price is insane. I still waited for some discounts. Later, went ahead with the Innisfree Water based one (loving it). Interestingly, right after I purchased the Innisfree one, this was available online at 50% off. Heart = Broken. Thankfully, I am loving the Innisfree one.

Himalaya Neem Foaming Face Wash: Got this for travel purchase. It is travel-friendly size, but it is not travel-friendly packaging. Half of the bottle leaked while traveling in-flight cabin baggage.

Forest Essentials Madurai Jasmine Shower Gel: It has been with me for a long time. I love the fragrance but not worth repurchasing because of the price. Also, I am trying not to buy anything from Forest Essentials because they are expensive, hide their complete ingredients list, and nothing has really worked for me other than their perfumes.

Banana Boat Sports Sunscreen: I got it from Bali and loved it. I loved it so much that I kept it and didn't use it. When I finally opened it a few days back (right when I was waiting for offers on TBS Skin Defense), I discovered that it the formula has separated. So, discarding this. I will repurchase if I see it again.

Forest Essentials Nargis Cleansing Butter: For the same reasons as I mentioned above, I am not repurchasing this. I also have the Nargis perfume so, I won't be missing the fragrance.

Greenberry Organics Mud Ash: I like it but have too many scrubs now to finish. To holding my horses here.

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Night Cream: I loved the cream. This is my second tub. But, I slowly moved to face oils and completely forgot about this. Throwing it away as it has been with me for over 2 years now. I do need cream at times for Delhi winter but use the TBS Vitamin E cream.

FabIndia Deep Cleansing Oil: Love this product. Far better than any other oil. But, these days I am back to using coconut oil when I need oil cleansing.
