Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment Hair Serum Review
Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment Hair Serum Review

The first time I ever tried anything from Wella was their SP Luxe Oil that I received in My Envy Box November. As I loved how it detangled my hair, I had high hope from Wella Professionals Oil Reflections Smoothening Treatment.

Price - Rs 850 for 100ml

Texture – Transparent thick (but not heavy) serum

Packaging – Glass bottle with plastic pump

Fragrance – Soothing smell that does not linger for long. The best thing about it is that it smells nothing like a salon product.

Ingredients- Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Alcohol Denat., Parfum, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Limonene, Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone.

View – Thanks for the boom in hair care industry, hair serums are everywhere. But, a hair serum that is mineral oil free is tough to get. Just like Moroccan Oil Treatment, this contains silicons. But, it is not as thick and heavy. The serum is definitely on the thicker size but spreads easily on hair. This detangles hair like a cake-walk. Also, it does not weigh down hair or feel heavy. I just need to use a coin size for my hair.

The presence of natural oils plays their part in making the texture light. When applied on damp hair, it controls frizz.

It can even be used for styling.

Overall - As I mentioned in the FabIndia shampoo review, I am loving the combo of the sulphate free herbal shampoo and this. Unlike the other mineral oil free serums, this is light and does not weight down hair. I love that it controls frizz and detangles hair. The price is not much considering it is a salon product. Also, this will last me long. As I use sulphate free products, the amount of serum required for my hair is very less. Even the last bottle of mineral oil free serum – Innisfree Camellia Shine Hair Serum – is still surviving with around 20% left in it.

Have you tried anything from Wella? This is still a new brand for me. Do let me know what worked for you. What hair serum do you like?

Love,
Shayoni
