|Forest Essentials Facial Toner Pure Rosewater Review || TARUNI|
The day you shift your skincare routine to natural products, you realize how much you need rose water in your routine. I have tried few which made me understand that the pricey ones do have something special. As I have already heard loads of good words about Forest Essentials Rose Water, I didn’t even give much thought while adding it to my cart.
Price - Rs 1095 for 200ml
Packaging - Plastic bottle. Comes with a stopper and cap. The spray pump is separate.
Fragrance - Light rose. Nothing artificial like FE Rose Lip Balm
Ingredients - Contains steam distilled rose water. But, the complete ingredients list is missing.
Efficacy - It breaks my heart to say that this rose water does not suit me. Shocking, right? At most times, it gives me tiny red bumps, especially on my forehead. Even I am wondering how can a rose water cause that
In my life, I have used Dabur Gulabari and Patanjali to Oilcraft and Kama Ayurveda, but I have never faced this issue. In fact, it took a long time to reach this verdict. You all know that I love face oils and serums. Just before applying them, I use some rose water because moist skin absorbs better. So, while I got the bumps and pimples in the last few months, I blamed it on the change of places, travel, diet and what not. But, my eyes opened a few weeks back. Recently, while trying it out with Body Shop Oils of Life, it got me thinking – what if the rose water is causing the issue. So, I searched my vanity and found a bottle (new & sealed!) of Kama Rosewater. Used it with the oil and bam! I woke up with clear skin – no allergy type bumps – smooth baby soft skin that everyone deserves. Then, I realized that I face this issue at times even while using this with Forest Essentials Soundarya as well. Maybe something in the rose water does not agrees with my skin. Even the bottle says that allergy test is required before use.
Maybe I will give it a try later. For now, I am trying to finish up it up by using it randomly as it expires in 4 months.
Overall - In my opinion, Forest Essentials Rosewater is an overpriced rose water, with missing ingredients list which on top of all - not suitable for my skin. How I wish that I had tried the travel size bottle first. I never had allergy from any other FE product. Also, at present, my skin is not that sensitive as it used it be.
My recommendation is if this is on your wishlist then tread carefully. If you can, try the travel size option. Better yet, try Kama Ayurveda Rosewater, or it's cheaper dupe - Oilcraft Premium Rosewater
