Chanel LES BEIGES Healthy Glow Sheer Powder N20
Happy New Year!
The first post of the day has to be special and what is better than Chanel. I do not splurge on high end brands because I get bored with makeup product. When I shopping for my wedding in Delhi, I made a point to pick one good product from good high end brands. I needed something that I won't get bored of. Chanel makeup and foundation is always talked about. Unfortunately, my skin was not at all in good condition. It was dry and flaky. I could not pick the foundation aimed for dry skin because I knew that when I will be back to Kolkata, it will be back to oily combination. But, back then there were some plans to move to Delhi as well. So, I asked the SA to suggest me something that does not depends on skin AND something that I won't get bored anytime soon (here goes all the lipsticks, eye-shadows and blush out of the window).
Finally, we settled on - Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer.
Price - Rs 3850
Packaging - Flip packaging with Chanel logo on top and product inside. There a velvet pouch to keep the packaging safe. There is a curved fluffy brush inside which reminds me of the one that I got Bourjois blush. There is a also a mirror to help with touch ups. Totally impressed.
Texture - Baked powder. Smooth sheer feel on skin. Feels like nothing on skin.
Shade - The SA suggested N20 for me. There are 7 shades ranging from N10 to N70.
Efficacy - I used it as finished powder over foundations. It is not at all heavy and does not cakes up as well. But, I use it more as all-over-powder over moisturised skin. When I have skin issues to take care of, I add some concealer as this alone does not covers much. The name itself says - Sheer. Chanel give breathable light skin. I love how it adds glow and brightens my skin without looking made-up. It has added sunscreen (SPF 15 and PA++) but interestingly there are no white casts in photographs. It does not even looks like I wore any makeup in my photographs.
Overall - I love Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Powder. It is good that the money I spent got me a good product. This won't get over anytime soon. Till it gets over, I am going to enjoy the sheer glowy powder that is easy to carry around, photographs well and has the perfect packaging.
(I would also like to add something here. At many moments, Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Powder reminded me of Bourjois. Bourjois is the sister brand of Chanel and also creates perfect foundations. Unfortunately, there aren't much options for darker skin tones in Bourjois.)
