|Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Wash Madurai Jasmine and Mogra Review|
Yesterday, I shared my love for the Madurai Jasmine & Mogra range of Forest Essentials. And to add to that love here is another product - Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Gel. The same sensual fragrance of Madurai Jasmine & Mogra in thick shower gel.
Price - Rs. 775 for 200ml. Travel size also available
Texture - Thick gel with a smooth finish. Contains no exfoliating particles.
Fragrance - Seductive floral scent. The fragrance uplifts your mood, and your whole bathroom is filled with the aroma. But, the smell does not transfer much to skin and does not linger. Layering with the bath and shower oil helps in making it lasts long.
Efficacy - The shower gel does not lather much unless you use a loofah or something. When used directly on the skin, it does not lather much so, I end up using more and hence, waste it. But, when used it loofah, it creates soft lather which is gentle on skin. These days I using it with The Body Shop bath gloves (must have!) and hence, it gives a nice exfoliating effect as well. It washes off easily without leaving behind any residue. But, it is dying, Even when I used it during summer, I had could not miss using a moisturizer after this. Obviously, the bath and shower oil from the same range is what I prefer. Forest Essentials also retails body cream, lotion, mist and cologne in this range.
- Seductive fragrance that uplift my mood
- Thick shower gel which lathers and cleans well with the use of a loofah. Little goes for long.
- The ingredients list is not complete. Might contains sulphates. Neither the label nor the website talks about it. My only consolation is that it does not lather much so maybe the sulphates are less. Still, we cannot say for sure.
- Expensive. (And you never see offers like Body Shop in Forest Essentials)
Overall - A thick low-lathering gentle shower gel from Forest Essentials which has a delightful, uplifting fragrance of white flowers. The price of the shower gel definitely falls into the splurge category so; I am not sure if I will go back to it. But. on top of everything, Forest Essentials should really do something about the ingredients list. They should not go around claiming to be a luxurious brand and still not print the entire ingredients list.
