Kama Ayurveda MRIDUL SOAP FREE Cleanser

Kama Ayurveda MRIDUL SOAP FREE Cleanser review

Most products by Kama are also sold with some variations by other ayurvedalayas at a range of prices. But, there are many products which are exclusive to them. Mridul – a 100% natural cleanser is one such product.

Is it really a great product?

Packaging – Mridul comes in a tin tub with a wooden spoon. The powder is packed inside a plastic packet which you need to empty and fill the tin tub. I filled about half of it to preserve the quality/potency of the remaining unused powder. The tub packaging is the same that is used for Khadi face packs (So, I am sure the tub will rust in few months)

Texture – The texture of Kama Mridul is not fine. I was delighted with the idea because what is not fine can be used as a face mask and then scrub. But, it was not the case. If you use it as mask, as the powder starts to get dry, the particles in the mix start to pinch/poke your skin (might be the neem leaves. I have faced same issue in some of my DIYs)

How I used – I use pure oil to remove makeup/cleansing (coconut majorly but recently started using almond). So, after I massage the oil, I use this instead of face wash. I also use it alone when I know there is no waterproof makeup on my face.

I take a little less than a spoon of Mridul and add water to it to make a runny liquid. I apply it all over my face and rub a little. I cannot let it dry because of the pokey things so, I just wash it off quickly.

Effects – My skin feels soft after using it. I quite like it. Also, my skin feels as fresh as you feel after cleaning your face with face wash. Plus, the ingredients are meant for acne prone skin. So, double benefits. I do hope that I could have kept it a bit longer to get all  the benefits.

Kama Ayurveda MRIDUL SOAP FREE Cleanser

Overall - Kama Ayurveda Mridul does exactly what it claims to be - a soap free cleanser. A clean list of natural, vegan and biodegradable ingredients which are all great for skin. A little goes a long way. Plus, look at that cute little spoon!!! All in all it is a great product.

But, it does nothing other than cleansing. I started with a good skin to begin with so, I do not know if this can actually help in making skin better. (I really doubt that a natural product which touches my skin eveyday for less than a minute can do any wonder.)
This is the only 100% natural cleanser than is commercially available. I might not repurchase this but I love how this smells like. Let's see what I do when I finish this....#confused

Love,
Shayoni
