Revlon Colorburst in 075 Peach Review + Swatch

I got this when after a few month of Revlon Colorbrust launch in India. I was not sure if I wanted to shell out 575 INR for something that I might or might not even sure. At that time I wanted something peach and no one was able to fulfill that thirst of mine (well it’s still unsatisfied. If you spot those Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in Peach then please let me know)

About Revlon Colorbrust –

-Instant burst of rich, true color with a featherlight feel
-Elasticolor™ technology provides immediate color release and hugs lips with a burst of weightless color that feels like a second skin
-Available in 20 gorgeous shades, including 5 new shades! (Well I think all the 20 shades are not even launched in India…forget the 5 new….it will be too optimistic to think that way)

EXPERT TIPS:

Apply directly to lips for beautiful, high impact color. Can be worn with or without lipliner ( which by the way got me into thinking….when was the last time I wore any lipstick with a liner)

My Thoughts

Color & Stay - How does it look pinkish on others? Tell me! It’s does not look like that on my lips. No hints of pink. Just a frosty thing that even settles on lines. The formula is another funny thing – it’s a bit waxy and does not last for an hour properly (forget about leaving behind a tint). I will update my lip swatch with this to make you realize my pain. Check back in a week or two.

If I have to apply this alone then I need to exfoliate my lips to reduce those settling on lines issue but then it does not even last. I do not mind replying but don’t you feel an hour is too less for reapplication.

It might have worked for other beautifully but it was regret for me.

Application - The only way to make it work is to apply with some other similar color lipstick. And BTW its more orange than peach. Check out the comparison below with Maybelline Bronze Orange, Revlon Kiss Me Coral and Inglot #401.

And if I need an orange only then I will consider Bronze orange over this any day for my pigmented lips or Kiss me Coral if I want a brighter color.

Maybe you will now understand why it used so less so far.

Packaging – It is the only thing that is stopping me to give this away to others (My female relatives are a bunch of happy people whom I giveaway everything I think that I will not use…I do not want to disclose more secrets now *wink*).

I also like the shape of the bullet but then I am sure it will break very soon as the formula is soft and Delhi Summer might say “Hello, I am here” very soon.

Price - 575 INR

Repurchase? – Don’t even make me answer this. I will buy 1 Faces lippie, 1 Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara and Kajal ( 3 basic stuffs ) and give to a makeup virgin rather than buying this again. Tempt me with some other shade and I will think again.

Do you own any Colorburst? Was it better? Let me know the shades please :)

    1. first of all...THANKS for reading my blog and HUGS for commenting...it feels so nice :)

i just wish you find something like this sooner. You can try one color in Maybelline Watershine Range which is the exact copy of this. I am not sure if that one will stay longer but you can try that

    1. The Inglot one stays longer but Sonali that one is very drying. I am not sure how it will behave in UK but in Delhi Winters it was pathetic. I have review it already

  9. I agree with Tanverr my two fav shades are rosy nude and soft rose but as my upper lip is pigmented, i need to apply a concealer or nude pencil to even them before applying these colors. As a result, not only is the staying power extended by hours but also a great look with no settling into fine lines :)
